Located fourteen miles southeast of Chewelah, Deer Lake offers a year-round fishing season. Species include Largemouth and Smallmouth bass, Black Crappie, Yellow Perch, Rainbow Trout, and Lake Trout. Brook Trout are stocked annually and are counted toward the daily trout limit. A WDFW access point provides a public boat launch, though it’s shallow. Private resorts nearby offer boat launching, camping, and amenities.
